Carrollite Patapsco mine, Finksburg, Sykesville, Carroll Co., Maryland 6.96cm x 5.54cm x 3.67cm Ex. Neil A. Wintringham Collection

Description/Interesting Notes: A very rare, old time example of carrollite from the TYPE LOCALE in Maryland!!! These old carrollites are very rare and almost never come up for sale!!! This unusually rich example hosts numerous areas of massive silvery carrollite throughout the specimen in addition to several complex crystals up to 2.5mm!!! In addition to these major crystals, there are numerous tiny submillimeter crystals as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! In addition to the carrollite crystals, there are unidentified white botryoidal crystals in association with intense green crystals (these crystals are NOT malachite)!!! Simply a magnificent example of rare, type locality carrollite!!! This specimen retains its original Wintringham collection label!!!
