Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of this highly prized pseudomorph from Cornwall!!! These old cassiterite after orthoclase pseudomorphs came from a
small, one time find in Wheal Coates around 1828!!! This specimen consists of a sharply twinned orthoclase crystal that is being
altered to cassiterite!!! This specimen has considerable heft for its size and retains a label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum with
J.T. Reeder collection notation!!! The specimen also retains Reeder's notation and catalogue number on the specimen as well!!! The Reeder Collection was
one of the most significant and important contributions to the Seaman Museum and was quite exceptional both in scope and quality!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
