Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of cassiterite from Maine!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of intergrown crystals of white albite that host a significant, jet black crystal of cassiterite!!! The crystal has a highly complex habit that was no doubt a result of being confined within the albite!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Leavitt collection as well!!!
