Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of cassiterite from South Dakota!!! This specimen consists of a sharply defined single crystal of cassiterite!!! The crystal has highly complex features with marked luster and dark, near-black color!!! The crystal exhibits fantastic form and quality for the locality!!! This specimen retains an old Ward's label as well!!! South Dakota cassiterites are quite scarce indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
