Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of this highly prized pseudomorph from Cornwall!!! These old cassiterite after orthoclase
pseudomorphs came from a small, one time find in Wheal Coates around 1828 and have been highly sought after by
collectors ever since!!! This specimen consists of a sharp orthoclase crystal with several smaller intergrown
orthoclase crystals that have all been replaced by cassiterite!!! Upon close examination with a loupe or scope one can see the
minute, darkly colored crystals of cassiterite that this prized pseudomorph is comprised of!!! This specimen has considerable
heft for its size!!! This specimen is complete and undamaged!!! Don't miss out on this rare opportunity - these specimens are extremely
difficult to obtain!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 1st!!!
