Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of catapleiite and rhodochrosite from Mont Saint-Hilaire!!! This specimen host some particularly large rhodochrosite and catapleiite crystals that actually comprise a portion of the matrix!!! There are also several fine individual crystals of catapleite scattered about as well!!! In person, all of the catapleiite actually shows significant iridescence!!! There are a few other species in association as well!!! There is a lot going on with this specimen!!! The pics hardly do it justice - must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
