Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare and unusual example of bright yellow-green cerussite from Tiger!!! This specimen consists of a dense cluster of intergrown crystals
of cerussite that exhibit a most unusual color!!! The crystal is somewhat reminiscent of the "chrome cerussites" from Tasmania (the color of which has
been shown to be independent of chromium content by the way) and it is postulated on the Bideaux label that the color could be the result
of paralaurionite inclusions!!! There are some areas of an unidentified, massive, earthy blue-green mineral in association as well!!! The
crystallization is much better and more prominent than the pictures show!!! The crystals are sharp, lustrous, and exhibit reticulated forms, v-twins, prismatic, and
complex forms!!! This specimen was acquired from the personal collection of noted Arizona collector Evan Jones and also retains several other old labels (Bideaux, Kokinos) as well!!! The pics
hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY FEBRUARY 24th!!!
