Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, old time example of cerussite from this classic English locale!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely
of jackstraw cerussite crystals in association with an unidentified yellowish mineral as well as a small amount of "copper staining"
(linarite and related species)!!! The jackstraw cerussite crystals are thick and significantly sized!!! The cerussite
crystals have bright, glassy luster that is quite showy in person!!! There are some mircocrystals of linarite in minor association
with the greenish blue copper staining (likely microcrystalline lead-copper sulfides)!!! There is a significant
showing of an unidentified yellow mineral, present as masses scattered throughout the cerussite crystals!!! While
the yellow material appears to be simply massive, upon close study there are a few areas where there appear to be some
subhedral forms that may be pseudomorphic in nature!!! Very handsome and showy in person!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 12th!!!
