Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of cerussite from this famed New England locality!!! This historic locality was first worked for
lead in 1680 and nearly a century later supplied lead for musket balls during the American Revolution!!! This classic specimen
hosts a rich group of chunky, lustrous cerussite crystals on matrix!!! The crystals have an attractive pinkish coloration due to an
unknown inclusion and, upon close inspection, one can see many areas of characteristic cerussite v-twinning!!! This specimen retains an old
label from the Cilen collection and an additional older, unattributed label as well!!! Rare, old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
