Cerussite Touissit, Touissit District, Oujda-Angad Province, Oriental Region, Morocco 3.55cm x 2.8cm x 2.08cm Ex. Krause Collection

Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely fantastic example of cerussite from Morocco!!! This specimen consists of a complete, complexly twinned cerussite crystal that exhibits an uncharacteristically "blocky" habit!!! These unique "blocky" cerussites from Morocco are quite distinctive and this is a terrific example indeed!!! This specimen is complete all around and in fantastic condition with just a couple tiny, insignificant dings that do not detract in any appreciable way!!! The pictures simply don't capture all of its complexity, however it is quite a bold and attractive cerussite in person!!! The crystal is highly lustrous and has marked, stratified translucence viewed trough the prism faces - while the c-axis exhibits an almost chatoyant, tigers-eye like, internal sheen that is oriented parallel to each twin plane!!! In person this specimen is simply gorgeous!!! This specimen is from the Krause collection and was originally acquired from Victor Yount in 1985 (labels included of course)!!!
