Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique, old time example of cerussite from this historic locality!!! This specimen consists of a
galena crystal matrix that hosts a rich showing of unusual, complex cerussite crystals in association with
some tan colored siderite crystals on a layer of tiny quartz points!!! There is also a single sphalerite crystal
in association as well!!! What makes these cerussite crystals so unique is that they are comprised of very slightly
divergent groups of paper-thin, rectangular shaped crystals!!! Upon close inspection in person these crystals look
quite unusual for the species (The crystals almost resemble the much rare lead species lanarkite!)!!! The crystals are lustrous and
have a handsome slight pearlescence!!! This specimen retains an old, 1930's era Martin Ehrmann label as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
