Description/Interesting Notes: A unique example of chalcedony after wood from Wyoming!!! This specimen consists of a very gemmy piece of chalcedony that has replaced petrified wood!!! The features of the wood are still very pronounced and detailed!!! The chalcedony has a fantastic homogenous and pronounced translucence as well as a lively glow throughout!!! This is simply an extraordinary sample!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection and retains his original label!!!
