Chalcocite Bristol Copper Mine, Bristol, Hartford Co., Connecticut 2.2cm x 2.06cm x .77cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A classic example of chalcocite from this historic New England locality!!! This specimen consists of a complex single crystal of chalcocite!!! The crystal exhibits characteristic complex form with sharply defined striations and classic gunmetal gray color with just a hint of iridescence!!! This specimen is sharp, complete, and displays fantastically all around!!! There is some minor chattering on one edge, however upon close inspection it almost appears healed as it has a fully oxidized patina and is somewhat rounded!!! In person this specimen is quite handsome indeed!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
