Description/Interesting Notes: A unique, old time example of chalcocite from this historic locality!!! This specimen consists of a complex single crystal of chalcocite that exhibits a striking "mushroom" like habit!!! This specimen exhibits a characteristic tabular hexagonal crystal that is held aloft by a "stem" of parallel prismatic chalcocite crystals - giving it a unique "mushroom" like appearance!!! The crystal is sharp and displays fantastically all around!!! These old time Bristol chalcocite specimens date to the 19th century!!! Classic old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
