Chalcocite Chimney Rock Quarry (The Bound Brook Quarry), Bridgewater Township, Somerset Co., New Jersey 4.3cm x 2.9cm x 1.2cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of chalcocite from New Jersey!!! This specimen hosts a group of highly complex chalcocite crystals in association with calcite!!! The chalcocite crystals have sharp, complex faces with bright metallic luster!!! The crystals have complex terminations and there are a few small areas that have what appears to be slight alteration to turquoise colored chrysocolla!!! This specimen has an old catalogue number from the Paterson Museum as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
