Description/Interesting Notes:
An outstanding and unique example of chalcocite from Wisconsin!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex cluster of chalcocite crystals that exhibit a most
impressive and unique golden metallic patina!!! While the chalcocite crystals from this locality are noted for their pronounced and unusual iridescence, this specimen
really takes the cake!!! This specimen is literally golden metallic!!! It almost looks like a different species, however I can assure you that this is absolutely, positively chalcocite!!!
The very tips of some smaller crystals have a slightly purple iridescent highlight to them but otherwise the specimen is a brilliant golden color!!! The
crystals have superb metallic luster as well!!! This is truly an incredible example of the species!!! The chalcocite crystals have chunky, complex habits and are
in fantastic condition all around!!! This specimen displays gorgeously from nearly every angle!!! This
specimen was aquired in a small stash of
these chalcocites that had been highgraded and tucked away some time ago just after the initial finds!!!
