Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of chalcocite from Butte!!! This specimen consists of a sharp single crystal of chalcocite on a small amount of matrix!!! The chalcocite has sharply defined faces and is in fantastic condition!!! The matrix hosts a small amount of quartz and related sulfides!!! The crystal measures just over 1cm!!! A terrific example of the species from Butte!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
