Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this very rare copper selenide from the Congo!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of gemmy, intense blue chalcomenite crystals in association with the rare uranium-bearing species demesmaekerite and guilleminite!!! The chalcomenite is entirely crystalline - consisting of oriented crystalline groups with complex, sharp, lustrous faces and gemmy clarity!!! The individual crystals range in size to over 2.5mm!!! The demesmaekerite is present as pea-green crystals arranged in complex groups of intergrown crystals!!! Some of the demesmaekerite crystals are quite sharp and show marked luster!!! The guilleminite is present as well formed, bright yellow crystals!!! This is a magnificent example of this very rare, and very colorful species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
