Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique and showy example of golden-iridescent quartz crystals from Mexico!!! This specimen consists of a complex cluster of
quartz crystals that have a stunning, bright, metallic golden iridescent coating of limonite!!! In
addition to the golden limonite, there are some areas of red translucence caused by the limonite as well!!! Thera are also two
complex calcite crystals perched on one side!!! The calcite is complete and pristine with complex, lustrous faces!!! There are a few
hints of malachite upon close inspection as well!!! This specimen is simply gorgeous in person!!! The iridescence is reminiscent of
the finest examples of iridescent quartz from Slovakia!!! The golden metallic nature is so pronounced that this specimen was originally labelled
(erroneously of course) as "chalcopyrite coating quartz"!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
