Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of chalcotrichite from Cornwall!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of
intensely colored, hair-like crystals of cuprite
var. chalcotrichite!!! The chalcotrichite crystals are quite lively and
flash with vibrant ruby red hues throughout!!! Upon close inspection, one sees that the
crystals are in association with partially altered, darkly colored crystals of chalcocite!!! Surprisingly,
there are areas where one can see that the chalcocite is actually altering to chalcotrichite and other
colorful copper secondaries!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
