Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent example of childrenite from Bolivia!!! This specimen hosts numerous darkly colored balls of radiating childrenite crystals on matrix!!! Upon close inspection one can see that the individual crystals have sharp, lustrous terminations!!! In areas where one can see the cross-sections of the radiating crystals, one can see that the individual crystals exhibit the characteristic tan color and just a zone near the termination exhibits this unusual dark color!!! This is a magnificent example of the species for this locality!!! Rare and unusual material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
