Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent exampe of childrenite from Brazil!!! This specimen hosts a large, highly complex single crystal of childrenite in association with a few scattered crystals of blue apatite on a complex ablbite matrix!!! The childrenite crystal has handsome caramel color with marked clarity!!! The crystal exhibits a very unusual and uncharacteristic habit!!! The crystal has numerous highly complex faces with marked luster!!! The termination has an almost velveteen "sheen" to it when viewed in person!!! Upon close inspection one can see a few scattered crystals of blue apatite scattered about the matrix as well!!! This is a fantastic example of the species indeed!!! This specimen came from collector/dealer Bob Jenkins who lived in Brazil for a time and had amassed a significant cache of fine and unique Brazillian specimens!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
