Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of childrenite from England!!! This specimen hosts numerous gemmy, golden amber colored crystals of childrenite in association with some highly complex crystals of darkly colored siderite!!! The childrenite crystals are razor sharp, glassy, and gemmy!!! The crystals range in size to over 3mm!!! It is difficult to appreciate in the pictures, but there are many more childrenite crystals present than it appears!!! In person, the childrenite crystals are very apparent however because they are so sharp and brilliant!!! This specimen retains an old Calvert (Lord Calvert) Collection label that came from Martin Ehrmann!!! This old label notes the locality as Cornwall, however it is quite likely more specifically from Devon & Cornwall United Mines in Tavistock!!! Classic old time material!!!
