Chlorargyrite

Black Hills, Lawrence Co., South Dakota

2cm x 1.88cm x 1cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A rare, old time example of chlorargyrite from South Dakota!!! This specimen consists of a small portion of matrix, lined with microcrystals of quartz that is partially covered with grayish chlorargyrite!!! The chlorargyrite has a characteristic waxy appearance and is present in some small masses embedded in the matrix as well!!! This specimen came out of an old collection and retains an unattributed label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY FEBRUARY 10th!!! **We have just returned from the annual Gem & Mineral Show in Tucson, Arizona!!! Be sure to stay tuned as we will be listing our exciting acquisitions throughout the next coming weeks!!!***
