Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare old time example of chlorargyrite with cerussite from Broken Hill!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of
well crystallized chlorargyrite on matrix in association with a few intergrown cerussite crystals!!! The chlorargyrite is present as significant, contiguous,
sharply crystallized masses!!! While there are some significant areas of massive chlorargyrite, the majority of the
visible chlorargyrite is covered with networks of sharp, lustrous faces!!! Some of the chlorargyrite crystal faces
are quite significantly sized!!! This specimen is loaded with much
more chlorargyrite than it shows in the pics!!! This is a fantastic example of the species and is WAY better than the pictures show!!!
This specimen came from old material that came from the A.E. Seaman Museum - the
material had not been catalogued but was noted as coming from the German mineralogist B. Klose!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JANUARY 12th!!!
