Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique, old time example of chlorargyrite with anglesite from California!!! This specimen consists of a vuggy matrix that hosts a rich showing
of chlorargyrite and finely crystallized pseudomorphs of chlorargyrite after native silver in association with sparkling complex crystals of
anglesite!!! The cerargyrite is present as crusts and crude crystals - but is most striking as the dramatic pseudomorphs after dendritic silver crystals!!!
The anglesite is also present as complex crusts, single crystals, and some sparkling accents to the chlorargyrite pseudomorphs!!! This specimen
is simply amazing in person!!! Under close inspection the specimen is spectacular!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen retains
an old label from the Oke collection as well as an older, unattributed label (Don Scorge notation?) as well!!!
Bill Oke was a curator at Cal Tech and donated his 3000 specimen collection to the University in 1951!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
