Description/Interesting Notes:
An unusual, old time example of chalcopyrite and chlorargyrite known as "green horn silver" from
Canada!!! This specimen consists of an unusual admixture of altered chalcopyrite and chlorargyrite known as "green horn silver"!!!
The "green horn silver" is present as significant greenish tan masses comprising a portion of the specimen!!! The material appears to
be a combination of weathered chalcopryite and chlorargyrite in a very fine grained, clay-like mass!!! This specimen retains an old label from the collection
of P.A. Foster MD, as well as an old dealer label (locality noted as "Silver Island" Mine) and a previously affixed label as well!!! Unusual
old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 31st!!!
