Description/Interesting Notes: An old time example of chondrodite and apatite from Tilly Foster!!! This specimen hosts numerous deep orange-brown crystals of chondrodite in association with a single crystal of apatite!!! The chondrodite crystals exhibit choice color and characteristic complex habit!!! The apatite crystal is truly unique and quite unusual!!! The apatite crystal is undamaged with glassy luster and marked translucence - however its most striking feature is that it is actually chatoyant - having a significant "cat's eye" schiller within!!! This feature was difficult to capture in the pics, but it is readily apparent in person!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Velte collection as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
