Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of chrome diopside from Finland!!! This specimen consists of numerous, intergrown crystals of intense, emerald green diopside crystals in a matrix of brilliant, golden pyrrhotite!!! The diopside crystals have glassy luster with translucent to gemmy clarity and intense green color!!! The combination of rich emerald green color and bright golden metallic color is quite striking in person!!! Rare old time material!!! There are also some unidentified, highly complex darkly colored crystals in association as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!!
