Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of chysoberyl from Brazil!!! This specimen consists of a unique, flattened crystal of yellow-green chrysoberyl
that exhibits characteristic sixling twinning!!! The crystal is complete and in fantastic condition all around!!! The
crystal has glassy luster and shows areas of marked clarity throughout!!! Although the crystal is thick and chunky, it
is perfectly flat on each side and has a most unusual appearance in person!!! The crystal has rich color that is much
better than the pics show!!! Old material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the
6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the
upcoming days and weeks!!! Prior to the Nikischer collection this specimen was originally from the collection of Florence
Mecke (acquired from the late 1930's until the 1970's)!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 18th!!!
