A unique and unusual example of chrysocolla after azurite from Arizona!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of
multicolored chrysocolla in association with a small amount of malachite!!! What at first appears to be a simple mass of
colorful chrysocolla, is actually a complex network of sharp, intergrown pseudomorphs after azurite crystals!!! These
intergrown pseudomorphic crystals have surprising luster and sharpness!!! This is the only such example of this unusual material I have ever seen!!! In
addition to the pseudomorphs, there are a few small areas where acicular malachite is embedded within the chrysocolla as well!!! This specimen
retains an old label from the collection of James Dobo Jr. as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
