Description/Interesting Notes: An old time example of chrysotile from Tilly Foster!!! This specimen consists of a single elongated group of parallel crystal fibers!!! The specimen has a pleasing light yellow-green color and marked translucence!!! This specimen was originally packed inside an antique hand-made test tube when we first unpacked the Peppis collection!!! Peppis wrote in his diary about his collecting trip to Tilly Foster and had many specimens from the locality (however he did not self-collect this specimen)!!! Classic old time material!!!
