Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique, old time example of chrysotile and "noble" serpentine from New Jersey!!! This specimen consists of dramatically chatoyant vein of
dense, markedly translucent, orange colored chrysotile in a matrix of lively yellowish noble serpentine!!! The chrysotile displays a stunning
orange translucence in person that is quite surprising and the serpentine is equally impressive with its lively yellow color, marked luster,
and glowing translucence!!! This specimen retains a label from the Franklin Mineral Museum that notes it is from the collections of John S. Albanese and
R.A. Fitton and was originally collected in 1896!!! The pics don't even come close to capturing just how unique and handsome this unusual old time specimen is!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
