Cobaltoan Calcite with Calcite Tsumeb, Namibia 7.06cm x 4.84cm x 3.62cm Ex. Paul Lazar Collection No. 2323

Description/Interesting Notes: An unusual and aesthetic example of cobaltoan calcite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of a tangled group of stalactitic crystals!!! The outer surfaces of these stalactites are covered by small, light pink rhombs while the cores and cross-sections exhibit an intense and vivid magenta color!!! Examples of cobaltoan calcite like this are quite uncommon from Tsumeb!!! This specimen is much more aesthetic and showy than the pics show!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
