Description/Interesting Notes:
A very rich example of coloradoite and hessite from Colorado!!! This specimen hosts a very rich showing of
intergrown coloradoite and hessite in a quartz matrix!!! One can see rich, dense masses of
darkly colored coloradoite and hessite all around the specimen!!! Upon close inspection one can see that some of the
hessite and coloradoite shows some areas of iridescent golden patina!!! In person, one can see that the coloradoite
has a distinctly darker hue compared to the more gray-black hessite!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one
can see that there are are actually some tiny, subhedral crystals tucked in nooks and crannies!!! There may be a small amount of
other tellurides in association as well!!! This specimen retains an old Frazier's label as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
