Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of columbite and microlite from Virginia!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, undamaged crystal of columbite-(Fe) proudly perched atop a complex, almost tabular crystal of microlite!!! The columbite crystal has jet-black color with sharp, lustrous faces and is complete all around!!! The microlite crystal has brownish color and slight translucence with a complex, compressed almost tabular habit!!! This is old time material from the University of Delaware's mineral collection!!!
