Columbite Baylis Quarry (Bayliss Quarry), Bedford, Westchester Co., New York 6.55cm x 5.5cm x 3.84cm Ex. Albert Peppis Collection No. E-54

Description/Interesting Notes: An old time example columbite from New York!!! This specimen hosts a complex, 1.9cm crystal of columbite prominently perched on a smartly contrasting matrix!!! Curiously, the crystal has a thin coating of an unidentified yellow mineral (uranophane?)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection and retains his original label!!!
