Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of these rare and highly sought after species from Bisbee!!! This specimen consists of a matrix
of massive, dark red cuprite that hosts a rich showing of intense blue connellite crystals and scattered crystals of unique
blue claringbullite!!! There are several other species in association as well, including atacamite, chrysocolla, tenorite, and
native copper!!! I must stress that this specimen is WAY better than the pics show - this specimen was very difficult to capture in the pics, however
the specimen is very impressive and rich in person!!! The connellite is present as a large group of juxtaposed groups of lathes of intense
blue gemmy crystals as well as divergent spray of crystals in a small vug and small areas richly scattered about the entire specimen!!!
The claringbullite has a distinctly different hue - an almost turquoise greenish-blue and is present as scattered areas of platy
crystals intergrown with the cuprite and some of the connellite as well!!! There is a LOT more going on with this specimen
than the pics show!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope there is a LOT to see!!! This is a magnificent example of
these rare Bisbee species!!! This specimen retains a very detailed old label from the collection of Arthur Eadie as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 30th!!!
