A fantastic example of native copper from this historic Canadian locality!!! This specimen consists of an aesthetic, arborescent cluster of
native copper crystals!!! Upon close inspection, one can see that the crystals are quite sharp and have a brilliant metallic luster with
a unique, somewhat silvery patina in areas!!! This locality is located along the shoreline in the Bay of Fundy and is a VERY difficult and
dangerous place to collect - as such specimens are rather scarce and seldom seen on the market!!! This specimen is quite showy and
aesthetic in person!!! It is also worth noting that this area, Cape D'Or got its name when Samuel de Champlain visited the
Bay of Fundy in 1604 because the area's native copper reminded him of gold!!! This specimen will come with an acrylic base for display as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
