Description/Interesting Notes:
A very unusual, old time example of native silver with native copper from Arizona!!! This specimen consists of a rich showing of
native silver, intimately associated with native copper and a small amount of matrix!!! While this locality is well known for its
copper specimens, there were a small amount of fine silver specimens that were recovered for a time in the 1950's as well!!! What makes this specimen
even more unusual, is that it is a half-breed of sorts - comprised of both native silver and native copper!!! Upon close inspection, one can
see crystal forms throughout the specimen!!! Although there is some degree of alteration, one can see some spinel-twin crystals and dendritic forms!!!
There is a small amount of characteristic matrix in assocation as well!!! Upon close inspection with a scope or a loupe, one can
see that some of the more "copper" crystals are hollow, or partial casts and there are also areas of what appear to be another generation of
silver crytals dotting some areas!!! This is a very interesting and unusual specimen indeed!!! This specimen displays quite handsomely
in person!!! Rare, old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MARCH 15th!!!
