Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent, old time example of native copper from Utah!!! This specimen consists of an aesthetic box-work of intergrown "plates" of native copper crystals!!! Upon close examination, one can see that these "plates" are actually complexly altered, compressed groups of what were once herring bone-like groups of spinel twin crystals!!! The evidence of this habit are present throughout the specimen!!! The flat, plate-like crystals of native copper have a most unusual patina upon close inspection and almost appear to be copper-silver halfbreeds in areas (I strongly suspect there is some silver present in this specimen)!!! It was difficult to capture just how showy and unique this old time beauty is in the pictures!!! Simply gorgeous in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
