Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely incredible, old time example of native copper after cuprite from this classic Arizona locale!!! This specimen consists of a large, single crystal of cuprite that has been completely replaced by native copper!!! The native copper is well crystallized and has an attractive patina with metallic luster!!! The specimen retains well defined octahedral form and displays quite handsomely!!! The crystal's octahedral form is much more apparent and defined in person!!! There is a small amount of characteristic matrix intergrown with the specimen as well!!! This amazing specimen is from the collection of Harold D. Levey!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
