Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely incridible, unique example of native copper from Bisbee!!! I must start by saying that this specimen has some VERY unusual
crystallization that is simply unbelievable when viewed upon close inspection with a loupe or scope!!! This specimen is completely
comprised of native copper with just a small amount of matrix in association!!! What at first might appear to be
complex cuprite crystals present on the "body" of the specimen are actually a second generation of native copper crystals (or pseudomorphs) that
dot the surface of the earlier native copper - these small crystals have INCREDIBLE crystallization that I simply could not capture in the pics (they
are razor-sharp with AMAZING, complex habits and a somewhat iridescent patina!)!!! The crystalline groups that
radiate out from the specimen exhibit truly remarkable forms that are very rarely seen in native copper specimens!!! In
person the specimen is even sharper and more crystalline than the pics show!!! This specimen retains
an old Lidstrom's label as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 3rd!!!
