Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely unique, old time example of native copper from Bisbee!!! We recently acquired this specimen from an old collection and
it is unlike any other native copper specimen I have
ever seen from ANY locality!!! This specimen consists of an unusual cluster of well crystallized native copper that has a curiously "organic" aesthetic!!!
The crystals at first appear to be possible pseudomorphs or odd cubic forms, however it appears that they may be extremely deformed spinel twins!!! Regardless of
how the specimen is described - there is no doubt that it is extraordinary!!! The crystals seem to radiate from a central "stalk" or core visible on the bottom of the specimen and on
some other smaller "lobes"!!! The specimen is in magnificent condition and displays gorgeously!!!
The pictures don't even come CLOSE to doing this incredible specimen justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
