Native Copper with Willemite, Franklinite, Calcite

Franklin, Franklin Mining District, Sussex Co., New Jersey

5.5cm x 5.1cm x 2.7cm

Description/Interesting Notes:

A terrific example of native copper from Franklin!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of native copper on, and included within, a matrix comprised of willemite, franklinite, and calcite!!! There are several exposed areas of native copper as well as significant protruding mass!!! One can see a significant amount of native copper included throughout the translucent areas of matrix!!! The specimen shows marked orange-red fluorescent calcite and green fluorescent willemite under SW UV as well!!! Upon close inspection in person, one can see some tiny areas of greenish malachite present as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 30th!!!
