Description/Interesting Notes:
An unusual, old time example of a native copper "cobble" from Lake Superior!!! This specimen basically consists of a
large, solid, water-worn cobble (or small boulder)!!! The specimen has been cut in half at some point long ago - which
shows that it is solid native copper!!! The specimen shows handsome, naturally rounded features and an attractive, rich
brown patina!!! This unique, old time native copper is from the Churchill Collection, Dartmouth College Museum, and J. H. Marshall, Jr. Collection and
retains all of its original labels in addition to affixed labels and some additional old dealer labels as well!!! Classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 6th!!!
