Description/Interesting Notes:
A large and impressive cluster of native copper crystals from Michigan!!! This old time specimen consists of handsome, branching
cluster of chunky native copper crystals that exhibit broad areas of striking, bright red, microcrystalline cuprite patina!!! Let
me start off by saying that this large specimen is WAY better than these pictures show!!! This is a large specimen and therefore
the pics are taken at some distance - in person this specimen is very three dimensional and aesthetic!!! The handsome red
patina almost makes it look like an other-worldly coral specimen!!! There are well-defined crystalline features all over
the specimen and the native copper is quite thick and chunky all over!!! This specimen is from an old collection and
appears to have never been professionally cleaned with contemporary methods as most copper specimens have - this specimen
could really be impressive if this is done!!! With these pictures, this specimen is going to be a VERY pleasant surprise when
it is finally seen in person!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
