Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of native copper from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a mass of willemite and franklinite that hosts a rich
showing of native copper throughout!!! The broad face of this specimen hosts numerous compressed "sheets" of native copper both on its
surface and partially included within!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see numerous complex features and
microcrystalline cuprite on the copper's surface!!! There is much more copper present than it appears in the pics!!! Under SW UV, one can
see the bright green fluorescence of the associated willemite however there are some small curious areas of peach-colored fluorescence as well!!!
There is an old catalogue number on the reverse as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be
seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JULY 14th!!!
