Description/Interesting Notes:
A rich example of native copper from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a very rich showing of native copper in association with
calcite and willemite!!! This specimen is mostly comprised of native copper by weight and the native copper is visible on every side of the
specimen!!! The native copper juts out of the matrix in numerous areas and has a lively metallic copper patina!!! There are also
many small areas of bright red cuprite coating the native copper!!! There is a significant showing of greenish copper secondaries as well (this specimen
had an old handwritten label that noted "rare atacamite" however the presence of atacamite is doubtful)!!! This specimen shows pronounced
fluorescence of green (willemite) and red (calcite) under SW UV!!! The pics hardly do this specimen justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
