Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of native copper from this historic locality!!! This locality was a prison camp in the Revolutionary War and was also a colonial copper mine!!! The locality is a historical site and is absolutely closed to collecting!!! This old time specimen hosts a rich distribution of tiny, submillimeter specks of native copper and green malachite!!! Both species are easily appreciated with a loupe or scope!!! This specimen retains its original Wintringham Collection label!!! Rare historic material!!!
